It All Started

With some background research for a real estate book.

this book would help guide potential clients on the sale of their home during a divorce, but it soon became apparent that the information women "wished they had known" involved much more than just the aspects of their home sale.

and they needed that info far before the actual step of selling their home

And gosh, wouldn't it be nice if there was a reliable source that housed the majority of the info we really need to know before we get to the point of walking into an attorney's office?!

I was having numerous conversations with women who were all saying "Yes! We need something like this. Somewhere with vetted out resources and professionals that we can trust. I know someone right now who could use it too."  It began to weigh on my heart and I started to feel called to do something in this space.

I'm Jamie, Divorcée, Realtor®, CDS™ & Aligned Strategy Enthusiast

I am passionate about helping women to see that when we harness the power of awareness - both internal & external - then we can make incredibly aligned decisions, helping us choose the right strategy for us.  Just as with my real estate clients, every single person's situation is unique and therefore their strategy needs to be as well. Just because divorce is something none of us want to face and is a deeply private circumstance, doesn't mean we shouldn't be talking about it so women have the resources to feel prepared to make informed decisions and therefore, aligned strategies.

Because of my own divorce journey, I know how overwhelming it is trying to navigate decisions that seem impossible and full of pressure. The fear of the unknown can make it seem so daunting that we may not even be using our best thinking brain - the one that normally can plan or strategize like a pro. And that's totally normal.

With my training as a Certified Divorce Specialistâ„¢, I know how important it is to take on a holistic approach with your divorce case, consulting with more than just your attorney.

I believe that the sooner women are proactively educated about the divorce process, the less turmoil they'll endure if they're faced with it. It's not about advocating for divorce, it's about being informed, just as we try to be about what to expect when getting married. My hope and mission with P.E.A.C.E. of Mind is that women share this resource with any and every woman they know that could need it in the future.

what's the meaning behind all that symbolism

I love symbolism and intentional meaning. In fact, when I decided on a name for my real estate team, Orenda Home Group, it was done in a similar manner, and its meaning fuels my mission in this space too.

Orenda is an old Iroquoian Indian belief that there is a supernatural, an inherent power of varying degrees, within each of us that empowers us to affect the world around us in a positive, loving way. It is the energy that effects change in one's own life.

That's a belief I am strongly aligned with. Which is part of why it rested heavily on my heart to launch the PEACE OF MIND initiative.

the

Phoenix

According to Greek mythology, the phoenix is known for its ability to be reborn from its own ashes. It's a symbol for rebirth, renewal and transformation. For the Native Americans it symbolizes healing, power and growth. For many, the phoenix is a symbol of new beginnings and fresh starts. Like the phoenix, you will rise again and find your light.

the

Laurel crown

In Ancient Rome, a laurel crown was awarded to victors after a battle and worn on the head as a symbol of triumph. The laurel wreath was used by the Ancient Greeks, a symbol of Apollo and the leaf itself was believed to have spiritual and physical cleansing abilities. The wreath is still known today as a symbol of victory and peace.

the

gold standard

For centuries, gold has been reminiscent of luxury, success, achievement, and triumph. It's globally recognized to be of value. It has been valued throughout history due to its rarity, durability, and beauty, as well as considered a symbol of power. Adorned by ancient civilizations and royalty alike, here it is meant to remind you to be the queen that you are.
